Every workplace has a person (or persons) who helps keep things on track and makes sure all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. For Certified Diesel Solutions, that person is Michelle Mullins. Michelle is the administrative assistant for our automotive and diesel repair shop in Knoxville, TN. She’s been in administration and HR roles her entire career, and she is excited to work with the mechanics and technicians of our shop.

Cold weather can be especially punishing for diesel engines. With winter approaching, truck drivers are preparing for the typical winter diesel problems. One of the most common diesel engine problems that occur in cold weather is the engine taking longer to crank up or not starting up at all. A frequent cause of diesel engines not starting in cold weather is a wax build-up in the fuel filter. Have you noticed the unusually shaped pieces extending out from the back end of a semitruck? These pieces, along with the flaps that hang between the front sets of tires and the back sets of tires work to create increased efficiency in tractor trailers on the interstate.
